Wingqvist seminar: Rethinking product realization in a changing world

Our team actively took part in the yearly Wingqvist seminar, held on 21 April 2026. This seminar gathered participants from across industry and academia to exchange insights on the future of digital product realization, highlighting both global perspectives and research developments.

Adam’s presentation highlighted the complexity of industrial context and presented what are the foundations and necessary conidtions for digital product realization. Researchers should include adoption as a requirement in the development of new design methods and tools.

Pauline’s presentation discussed what should change in the product development process and what capabilities should companies develop to realize sustainable products. She also showcased how our research group is using AI to accelerate the development of tailor-made tools that support decision-making towards sustainability in the critical, early stages of design.
