A base for a DSIP platform was developed through a Vinnova UDI project and with 16 other partners. What is unique about DSIP is that the tools and services offered in sustainable product development are also combined with tools in value-driven design in a knowledge platform. DSIP idea is also to enable the tracking of both product durability data as well as decisions in the design process via an information management platform. The DSIP methodology is an new approach that lowers the threshold for companies that want to improve their work with sustainable product development by clarifying which tools should be used when.
